State Treasurer, Fisher Center Chair to Headline Real Estate Symposium

California State Treasurer Bill Lockyer will analyze the state's current fiscal crisis, and Ken Rosen, chairman of the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics, will forecast real estate trends at the center's annual symposium on Nov. 23.

The Fisher Center's 32nd Annual Real Estate and Economics Symposium will run from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. The event draws real estate entrepreneurs, brokers, financiers, investors, attorneys, accountants, developers, and industry press.

In addition to Rosen's forecast and Lockyer's state-of-the-state address, this year's symposium features a full day of workshops with experts from the public and private sectors dissecting evolving trends in the complex real estate business.

Panel topics include:

• Commercial Real Estate – What’s Next?
• Investors Re-entering the Real Estate Market
• Insider Views on State and Local Problems
• Turning the Corner on the Residential Sector…Are We There Yet?
